There are no barriers to systems thinking

This is an additional wall-less pitch after some further reflection over the last week. In order to make progress with any Global Literacy / Competency, you first need to target the ‘root’ or the bottom of the iceberg. Systems thinking needs to become a lens in which to view all the other competencies. This, I feel, is something I have got wrong in my first attempt at introducing Global Literacy and Competency into my school context. The Green Educator course has helped to spark a deeper understanding of this idea and the double loop mental models and other tools linked to the Compassionate Systems Framework. It is a pedagogy, rather than anything content-based, that I try to unpack in this video with a specific contextualized example of my Chinese high school. (Apologies that this is my second submission, looking at it from a different angle).
