I am a new teacher to Green School NZ. I teach Visual Arts and I am keen to change the way I might have approached art teaching in the past to create experiences for learners that help them connect to our community, artists and to see themselves as advocates for change.

Nice one Sarah, I am sure the Educational revolution has to incorporate the emotional aspects of Art. Most of us express ourselves artistically in some way, yet its a bit wierd that things like Art Therapy are so peripheral! Loved your examples, and hope your project has an impact on your students! I also loved that you have an abundance of art and expression on your doorstep, in fairly rural NZ I guess! Who’d have known!!!
