Place-making: Creating a Safe and Inclusive Green Community Space

It is important in child development for children to form an attachment with the physical environment and find their own place in the world. My goal is to work with students, teachers and landscape architects to create a green community space in our school environment. We would plan, design, and create a sustainable green playground and rooftop garden space for all ages to explore. It would be a safe space that valued and promoted community involvement and education for sustainability.
