WHERE DOES THE COURSE TAKE PLACE & HOW TO GET THERE?
- The school is situated in the rural village of Sibang Kaja in beautiful Bali. The campus is easily accessible by motorbike or car and is located about 30 minutes from Ubud or Canggu, and 1 hour from Seminyak or Sanur. It’s about 1.5 hours from the airport. A list of taxis, drivers, car-share providers, and helpful transport tips will be provided to our participants prior to their arrival in Bali.
WHAT AIRPORT DO I FLY INTO?
- Fly into I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali. There are many flights in and out of Bali each day, making it easy to get to and from various locations.
WHERE IS A GOOD PLACE TO STAY?
- Bali offers a wide range of amazing accommodation options. You might want to book extra time before or after the course to explore and enjoy Bali. You can find various options on websites like Booking.com, Agoda, Tiket.com, Traveloka, or AirBnb.
IS BALI GOOD PLACE TO TRAVEL ON MY OWN?
- Bali is a very safe place for solo travelers, and you are likely to make many friends during the course.

WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE?
- Each day is curated with a mix of activities designed to inspire, educate, create connections, and spark joy. The program starts at 9 AM and ends at 4 PM. Some optional activities may be offered after the day ends. A detailed schedule will be sent to registered participants one week before the course begins.
WHO ARE THE COURSE FACILITATORS?
- The facilitators are our own Green School Faculty Members. Drawing from the creativity and wisdom of some of the world’s most seasoned Green Educators, these masters will guide you through the program.
ARE THERE ANY ACTIVITIES OUTSIDE THE CAMPUS DURING THE WEEK?
- Yes, there will be one or two days during the week when we take the group to explore nature, local communities, culture, and traditions. You may also have the opportunity to join student projects or activities outside the school.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
- This course is designed for anyone passionate about and interested in putting sustainability at the center of their daily life, especially school teachers and administrators. Basic English speaking, listening, and reading comprehension are required. Participants must be over 18 years of age and committed to actively engaged during the learning process.
WHERE DO I STAY DURING THE COURSE?
- Participants can choose to stay overnight in shared accommodations near Green School, which we provide during the program. We offer two options based on availability: Green Camp Lodge or Kul Kul Farm Yurts. During the stay, you will experience green living at its finest. Each room is equipped with a fan, blankets, towels, and mosquito nets. Females and males will stay in different rooms. There are bathroom facilities and individual lockers outside the room and laundry service is available at an extra charge.
IS IT REQUIRED TO STAY IN THE ACCOMMODATION ON CAMPUS DURING THE COURSE?
- The course price is all-inclusive. Staying together with your peers builds connections and bonds that last a lifetime. For those already residing in Bali and preferring to arrange their own stay, you can opt out of the accommodation and receive a deduction.
WHAT KIND OF FOOD IS PROVIDED?
- All meals during the course will be prepared fresh each day. They are nutritious, delicious, seasonal, ethically, and locally sourced. We will serve a mixture of Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Mexican, Indian, and Asian fusion food. Vegan options will be available at all meals. We will note your dietary restrictions on the registration form and take them into account when preparing your meals. Coffee, tea, and snacks will also be served throughout the week.
CAN I LEAVE EARLY DURING THE COURSE AND WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE?
- Participants are expected to be punctual and are encouraged to participate fully. If you need to leave and miss some sessions, please inform us in advance.
DO I GET A CERTIFICATE?
- Certificates of Completion will be given to participants at the end of the course.
I AM NOT A TEACHER, CAN I STILL ATTEND THE COURSE?
- The Green Educators Course focuses on teachers and school administrators, but we also welcome anyone interested in learning about educating for sustainability and sustainable living.
HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE USUALLY IN THE COURSE?
- Courses vary in size, but we try to limit enrollment to 35 participants to maintain a conducive learning environment.
DO YOU OFFER SPECIAL GROUP RATES?
- We love having groups participate, but we do not offer group rates or discounts.

WHAT IF I FALL SUDDENLY ILL DURING THE COURSE? IS THERE A HOSPITAL NEARBY?
- We have first aid stations with experienced nurses on standby during regular school hours, and there are several hospitals we can contact in case of an emergency. We also have a 24-hour security team on campus. Emergency procedures will be discussed upon arrival at Green School. For any further health-related concerns, please contact us directly.
ARE THERE ANY PRAYING PLACES NEARBY?
- Feel free to step away from the group at any time for your religious practices. We’re happy to suggest a quiet location on campus. There are some churches and mosques nearby, but participants must arrange their own transport to and from these locations.
CAN I INTERACT WITH THE STUDENTS DURING THE COURSE?
- Participants will be on campus during school hours, but we make every effort not to disturb classes and the regular programs of students and teachers. There may be moments built into the course where participants will engage with our students, but these will be planned and discussed. Please do not take pictures of our students and teachers, as this is against our school policies.
CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN/FAMILY/FRIENDS?
- We do not provide childcare, and we ask that you do not invite visitors or children to the campus during the course for safety reasons. All visitors may join a public tour of the school, which runs from 3:30 – 4:30 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Details about the public tour can be found by visiting our website here.
HOW OFTEN DO YOU HOLD GREEN EDUCATOR COURSE?
- We aim to offer the program three times a year, excluding any potential customized courses.
