Breaking Down the Walls of Hierarchy

Hierarchy is a system which has been prevalent since the dawn of time. It is something we see rein from the animal kingdom through to the corporate world. Why is hierarchy necessary and why is it preached within schools? By breaking down these walls and providing equality amongst all we create a schooling system where everyone, inclusive of age, gender and race is able to succeed and flourish.
