Being mindful is being aware of oneself and one’s surrounding. It allows them to build positive relationships with teachers, peers, and environment. If we can teach children how to be aware of their feelings, emotions, and their actions then we guide them to take care of oneself, other, and nature. Having a strong empathy and strong socio-emotional skills make learning more meaningful, contextual, and related to their lives. Only then, we can pursue global sustainability in society and environmentally.
